OUR PRODUCTS

FOOD HAS BEEN PART OF GOREY LIFE FOR CENTURIES. THAT'S WHY OUR STORY BEGINS HERE, IN A PLACE THAT HAS BEEN AT THE HEART OF THE ISLAND'S FOOD HERITAGE.

From the steep cotils where the first Jersey Royals are grown to cattle farms, fruit orchards, the oyster beds and the village’s local oyster and fishing industry. It’s part of Gorey’s tradition.

Traditional ingredients and products are given an artisan twist, creating a range of authentic delicacies, all available to take home, Let us make your life more delicious.

CHEESE & DAIRY

Artisan cheeses and local dairy products made with the finest pedigree Jersey butter and cream.

Jersey’s always had a tradition of producing the creamiest milk. It’s all thanks to our beautiful island herds of Jersey cattle. Cows like the Royal Viscountess Togo, bred by my father in law, Arthur Winter Falle, a well-known local cattle breeder and judge. In 1934, she was the island champion and sold that year to ornament the Jersey herd of a wealthy American in Utah.

In 1934, her portrait was painted by William Armitage, a distinguished artist who lived on Gorey Hill, a stone’s throw away from The Works. The oil painting, commissioned by Arthur Winter Falle, still hangs in pride of place at the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society. The image of that famous cow is a hallmark not only of our authentic dairy products, made from Jersey butter and cream, but also serves to champion and support the local herds of Jersey cattle who still graze the island’s fields.

BAKERY & PATISSERIE

Homemade artisan loaves, speciality breads, pies and sweet treats

Time for tea? We like to call it the hour of wonder. Sweet and savoury delights all baked in small batches using traditional techniques and natural ingredients to add depth of character to our breads and baked goods.

Our brioche is made with Jersey butter from local cows, giving it a uniquely rich texture. And look out for the first test bakes of Jersey Seaweed bread for a local version of laver bread - best eaten with our Jersey seaweed butter made with foraged vraic.

Good bread is an art, and can’t be rushed. Which is why you’ll see our clock in the window, so you know when the next batch of freshly-baked brioche is ready. That is, it if your nose doesn’t tell you first.

Curious adventures in food and culture with artisan breads, traditional delicacies and baked goods fresh from our ovens each day.

PRESERVES & PICKLES

A collection of curious concoctions
and peculiar delights

The least expected is often the most delicious. It’s the principle we follow when we create our homemade preserves and pickles. Always seasonal and always changing, our small batch artisan jams, chutneys and sauces give new life to surplus local produce from fruit growers and farmers. An alchemy of local finds from Jersey’s seasonal foodscape, this eclectic range of sweet and savoury treats are created, bottled and jarred in our kitchens. They’re all unique one-off recipes, and from seasonal pomegranate molasses to curiously delicious preserves and salted caramel infused with local flavours, you’ll find unique recipe and storecupboard inspiration.

And as well as supporting our local producers by giving new life to surplus produce, a healthy proportion of the sales of the Mrs Falle’s Bottled It range are donated to charity, so our products are as good for the island’s communities as they are for your recipes.

An alchemic academy for adventurists, discover the delights of Mrs Falle’s Bottled It preserves and sauces. But make it quick, once they’re gone, they’re gone…
