bringing together a community of makers and creators to celebrate the island's produce with a brand new destination at gorey.
From local designers and artisans to producers and growers, The Works brings together a community of local makers to celebrate one uniting theme: Jersey food.
Look out for individual profiles over the next few months to celebrate the collaboration and community spirit behind The Works, from Dave Brown, the local potter who brought to life the words of Lewis Carroll on the handmade tiles outside the shop to sculptor and artist Pippa Barrow whose Jules Verne-style croissant door handles are your first welcome into our shop.
Our traditional Jersey butter presses were created by local laser cutter Steph, with local sign producer Oliver Holmes creating the copper overlay that makes a feature of The Works's windows. And from outside to inside, our forager Paddy who collects local seaweed - known as vraic - for our Jersey seaweed butter and vraic buns.
Our chefs, Paul and Aesun bring talent and expertise from afar to inspire new delights, As well as tasting their creations, you can also recreate them for yourselves with menu ideas and tasting notes in our Recipes section.
